ANME sounds the alarm about alliances that threaten the media sector

The National Association of Media and Publishers (ANME) has published a press release in which it warns of the worrying developments in the advertising and public relations market in Morocco.

She detected suspicious movements on the part of several corporate communications and promotion companies, noting that they have deviated from their usual marketing objectives and severed their partnerships with the media.

The release highlights that these companies are turning to collaborations with influencers and digital content creators in an effort to turn quick profits, despite uncertainties about the credibility of their audience and content.

He mentions new alliances between PR companies and influencers with public and private entities, who spend millions of dirhams each year on promotional campaigns, thus putting traditional media at risk.

The association calls on professionals and managers of national media companies to confront these abuses and reject the persistence of this dysfunctional situation. She warns that any complacency on the part of publishers would be interpreted as complicity in the destruction of the media and publishing sector.

The association’s main demands include opening an investigation into the misappropriation of public and private funds, reviewing laws governing public relations companies, and calling for a boycott of the activities of companies working with influencers. All parties concerned are urged to take these warnings seriously and implement necessary measures to protect the national media sector from negative developments.
