The Mine D’ gallery is hosting the exhibition “Flora” by Shams Sahbani from November 9 to 27, 2024, accompanied by the signing of the collection “Poésies pour Elles” by the Egyptian poet Yassir Younes, illustrated with some of the artist’s works.

The event will be presented by the art critic, writer and artist Mohamed Saoud and this Saturday, November 9 at the gallery. Through “Flora”, Shams Sahbani explores the parallel between nature and the creative process. Inspired by the goddess of flowers and fertility in Greco-Roman mythology, her works embody a message of resilience and rebirth, where each creation emerges like a new flower, vibrant and imbued with vital energy. This exhibition presents a rich assemblage of materials: canvas, paper, clay, living and dry plants, glass which reflects his vision of the complementarity and duality inherent in life. Always fascinated by visual arts and literature, Shams Sahbani followed a varied and international career, from Hassan II University in Casablanca to China, including positions at the Higher Council of Education and the Ministry of Education. youth, culture and communication.

Founding member of the PlumArt association for artistic and cultural diversity, she has organized several events in different cities in Morocco. She has also exhibited her works in prestigious events and places, such as “Art Tentation” in Monaco, “Le mois du Maroc” in Alsace, “Fashion Artweek” in New York… Shams Sahbani is also an accomplished author, with several publications to his credit, including “Painter Artists in Casablanca” (Récit, 2022), “Echos Intimates” (Poetry, 2023), and “Forbidden to Love” (Roman, 2024). His next work will focus on Moroccan visual artists, accompanied by exhibitions aimed at promoting their careers and their creations.
