(Keystone-ATS) Upon her arrival at the meeting venue at the large Puskas Arena stadium in the Hungarian capital, Ms. Amherd announced that she will take stock with Ms. von der Leyen of the ongoing negotiations with the European Union (EU), in addition to other summit discussions.

Discussions are also planned with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and the heads of government of Kosovo, Albania and Cyprus.

Created in 2022 at the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron, the European Political Community (EPC) aims to strengthen ties between the EU and countries that share its values ​​without being members. This year, 47 states are invited, as well as various European institutions and organizations and NATO. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is hosting the summit.
