On the eve of the global launch of the PS5 Pro, new information, which will only affect a small handful of players, has emerged on the networks: the new Sony console will allow you to put some of your games in 8k.
The promises of the PS5 Pro
We already know this, but Sony's next console promises an even more immersive experience on our favorite games. The PS5 Pro should greatly improve the graphics of our games thanks to the addition of ray tracing advanced, the PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution and smooth frame rates of 60 Hz or 120 Hz generated by the enhanced GPU. At least, not for all games. Indeed, this update will only affect a handful of games. For the moment, only around fifty titles will be able to benefit from these improvements from the launch of the game.
While we thought we would see yet another update to the list of games that will be able to take advantage of the new technology behind Sony's latest console, we learn that another resolution mode could be taken into account at launch.
The PS5 Pro will also work in 8k
The news recently broke on X; Sony's next console will allow players to enjoy a completely excessive resolution, i.e. 8k. Obviously, this feature will only affect a small handful of players, because you still need to have a television that offers 8k resolutionwhich is rather rare, suffice to say.
And the noose tightens even more, since this feature will only allow it to a small part of the PlayStation community as it only seems to concern one and only one game at the moment: Gran Turismo 7. And best of all, you can even take 8k screenshots.
This resolution can then be applied to other games, that's certain, but we still need to know which ones and especially when the update will be deployed for them. Sony will be sure to provide more information on what the PS5 Pro has in store in terms of graphics improvement. She promises us many wonders, so there is little chance that we will be disappointed, right?
