A persistent rumor has been there for several months: Nvidia could prepare its entry into the Windows PC market on ARM with an SoC planned for the end of 2025.
Today, if you want to build a PC, you need an Intel or AMD CPU, and you can combine it with an Nvidia GPU, for example. On the laptop side, there is now another option, Qualcomm. What if you want Nvidia? Nvidia designs ARM chips, but not for PCs. At least, for now.
Nvidia could be poised to shake up the Windows-on-ARM PC market. According to an article from Digitimes-Asiathe semiconductor giant would consider launching its first SoC combining ARM processor and GeForce GPU by the end of 2025.
The company already has solid experience in the field of ARM Tegra SoCs, notably through products such as the Shield TV, the Nintendo Switch, and its automotive solutions.
September 2025
According to the sources of Digitimes-Asiathe release would be planned for September 2025, with availability of the first systems in early 2026. The exact format still remains unknown – between laptops, all-in-one PCs or console PCs. Nvidia, with its current market valuation of $3.3 trillion, would in any case have the necessary means to carry out such a project.
One of the strong points of this future solution could lie in its gaming compatibility. Where Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite sometimes shows its limits, the Nvidia SoC could excel thanks to the integration of a GeForce GPU using the same architecture as its graphics cards.

Moreover, since Apple’s success with its M1 to M4 chips, native ARM applications have multiplied. The potential arrival of a major player like Nvidia could accelerate this trend, encouraging more developers to adapt their software. And above all… video game publishers and studios.

The presumed choice of late 2025 for launch could allow Nvidia to observe the feedback on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite and adjust its strategy accordingly. By this date, the Windows on ARM ecosystem should also be more mature.
Moreover, these rumors emerge while Nvidia is already collaborating with MediaTek on the integration of its GPUs in future ARM chips.
