Recently, she was at the Museum of Black Civilizations in Dakar alongside Frédéric Oudéa to inaugurate the first Local Solutions Campus, financed by the philanthropic arm of Sanofi which she directs with notable activism. The event, which was held on the sidelines of the 4th International Forum “Sustainable health for all”brought together 200 participants from 16 countries – NGOs, local authorities, researchers, decision-makers. Its objective: to support initiatives led by communities to “face the immense challenges caused by climate change and its effects on health”. More than thirty local projects have been identified and will be supported. Global and local, impactful innovation, collective reflection, public-private partnership… a model dear to Vanina Laurent-Ledru.
