The agenda for the next Government Council scheduled for next Thursday in Rabat has just been revealed by the government.
One item on the agenda attracts particular attention since it concerns the number of the legal population of the Kingdom. In detail, a Government Council will be held on Thursday, under the chairmanship of the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, indicates a press release from his department. At the start of its work, the Council will examine a bill modifying and supplementing the law relating to compulsory basic health insurance (AMO) and enacting special provisions, specifies the press release.
Subsequently, the Council will examine a draft decree relating to the approval of the figures fixing the number of the legal population of the Kingdom, before concluding its work with the examination of proposals for appointment to higher functions, in accordance with the article 92 of the Constitution, concludes the same source. It should be noted that Morocco experienced the organization throughout last September of the seventh General Housing and Population Census (RGHP) in its history. The RGPH is carried out by the Ministry of the Interior and the High Commission for Planning. The HCP establishes the conceptual bases, the methodological and technical approach of the census and mobilizes human, material and logistical resources. The Ministry of the Interior provides, under the supervision of walis and governors, support for the coordination of the different operational phases of the RGPH.
