Angela Price admits she voted for Donald Trump and is disappointed with public reaction

The wife of Canadian goalkeeper Carey Price, Angela, revealed in recent days that she had voted for Donald Trump, then deplored on social networks the flood of criticism she subsequently received.

“It’s frustrating to see that people feel the need to unsubscribe [de mes réseaux sociaux] or criticize me for voting for Trump, Angela Price wrote in a fleeting Instagram post on Friday. Are we so self-centered that we do not accept opinions that differ from ours?

Earlier, Mme Price had answered several questions from his subscribers, including some relating to American politics, in the run-up to Tuesday’s election.

Reservations about Harris

The American, who was born in the state of Washington, declared that she had given her vote to the Republican candidate, who she said was “a strong leader for our country”.

“I was also impressed by [le colistier J.D.] Vance and his potential. As for the possibility that [Kamala] Harris becoming the first woman to become president, I have my reservations, she added. I imagine our first president as powerful, intelligent, a person capable of having an impact that will last.

“Unfortunately, I don’t believe Kamala possesses these qualities.”

Angela Price says her comments got her several messages suggesting she “go to hell.”

“We must resist the urge to divide ourselves,” she pleaded. […] Can we stop calling each other names and work towards a future in which we can co-exist peacefully and respectfully, no matter how our opinions differ?”
