Aliou Cissé, mayor of Mabo and candidate in the running for the next legislative elections, was the victim of a violent attack during a public meeting.
In a video that has gone viral, we see him addressing his activists gathered in his locality, when an unidentified individual enters the gathering. Taking advantage of the moment when the mayor was giving his speech, this intruder threw a stone in his face.
The images show the shock and emotion that gripped the activists present, shocked by the brutal attack on their candidate. The scene, which took place in public, required the rapid intervention of Aliou Cissé’s bodyguards. He, visibly injured, received first aid on site before being evacuated for further treatment.
