There were also numerous tributes on social networks, several highlighting the “much too early” departure of the 56-year-old man.

Others, for their part, did not fail to point out the coincidence of learning the news at the same time as the ADISQ Gala was being held.

“I am deeply upset, my heart is in pieces,” wrote Minister of Higher Education Pascale Déry on the X platform.

“I am in shock. He was our neighbor in Old Montreal, the class he had on the red carpets was also reflected in the streets of our neighborhood,” reported Liberal MP Marwah Rizqy.

Host Josélité Micaud also paid a touching tribute in a Facebook publication.

“He has been part of this profession with passion, rigor and in his own way for a long, long time with his glamorous approach to doing things. He did selfies long before they became commonplace. Tonight, it’s strange, there is a time when he would be on television to present the artists on the red carpet at the dawn of the ADISQ Gala!”, he wrote.

The mayor of Montreal, Valérie Plante, also highlighted, on X, the “sudden and sad news”.

“Through his talent and enthusiasm, he was able to bring us closer to the biggest stars and make us experience unforgettable moments on the red carpets,” wrote the interim leader of the Liberal Party of Quebec, Marc Tanguay.
