The 10th edition of the Tiznit International Forum of African Cultures will take place from November 5 to 8, 2024 under the theme “ The journey and the traveler, between Morocco and its African surroundings “. Organized by the Cheikh Maa Oulainine Association for Development and Culture, this event coincides with the celebration of the 49th anniversary of the Green March and aims to deepen the historical ties between Morocco and African countries, on social, religious, cultural and economic.

This edition testifies to Morocco’s desire to strengthen its cultural and intellectual relations with its African partners, by highlighting the many points of convergence that unite them. It also highlights the role of Morocco as an open door to Africa, in a dynamic of exchange and sharing.

Among the highlights of the forum, an international conference will examine the role of travelers in the history of relations between Morocco and Africa. It will highlight how travel has contributed to the cultural and social influence of the continent, allowing the dissemination of values such as tolerance, coexistence and inter-African solidarity.

Structured around four main axes (literature and sciences, history, society and economy), the program for this edition will explore various themes, including “ The trip: definition, purposes, categories and objectives », « Travelers from Morocco and Africa and their role in the development of relations between African countries » et « Morocco’s relationship with its African entourage “. These reflections aim to establish a link between the past, present and future of Africa, highlighting the importance of travel as a means of exploration and discovery.
