The two Moroccan athletes Nourddine Bachki and Hanan Et Tabaa won the 4th stage of the international race “Eurafrica Trail”, which took place on Sunday in the region of Belwazen, falling within the commune of Alliyenne (prefecture of M’diq- Fnideq).
On the men’s side, first place went to the Moroccan Nourddine Bachki, who covered a distance of 21 kilometers in 2h15min25sec16, followed by Youssef Ait Maskouk (2h15min25sec84) and the Spaniard Diego Menéndez Rodiguez Noriega (2h21min11sec).
On the women’s side, the Moroccan Hanan Et Tabaa took first place after covering the 21 kilometers in 2h51min04sec, followed by the Spaniards Oihana Azkorbebeitia Urizar (2h51min05sec) and Ana Maria Cervan De La Haba (2h55min05sec).
Placed under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, this sporting event, organized by the Tétouan Asmir association as part of the “Tétouan des Sept Portes” Forum, sees the participation of 400 athletes, men and women, from 14 country.
The first stage of the race began on October 31 in Gibraltar, while the second and third stages took place in Malaga (November 1) and Cádiz (November 2), respectively.
The director of the race, Sara Hajjaj, indicated that “Eurafrica Trail” is now an annual event hosted by the prefecture of M’diq-Fnideq, noting that the event is the first of its kind in the world to connect two continents. and three countries.
This sporting event sees the participation of more than 400 athletes, professionals and amateurs, she said in a statement to MAP, noting that the increasingly large number of participants reflects the success of the race year after year. .
In addition to the sporting aspect, this event is intended to be an opportunity to highlight the Intercontinental Biosphere Reserve of the Mediterranean (RBIM), promote mountain tourism and contribute to boosting the tourism sector on the coast of Tamuda Bay (M’ diq-Fnideq), while spreading the values of peace and love between peoples, underlined Ms. Hajjaj.
It should be noted that the fifth and final stage of the race, organized in partnership with the Dinan Foundation for Sport, in coordination with the prefecture of M’diq-Fnideq and the wilaya of the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region, is planned for Monday in the municipality of Cabo Negro, over a distance of 13.6 km.
