The Vienne prosecutor's office has just confirmed the death of the 15-year-old seriously injured by gunshot to the head during shooting on the evening of Thursday October 31 in the Couronneries district. The young victim was taken to Poitiers University Hospital in an absolute emergency. Four other people were injured, all aged 15 or 16but their lives are no longer in danger.
Friday, Cyril Lacombe, the Poitiers prosecutor, indicated the opening of an investigation, specifying that “the first elements of the investigation suggest that the shooter would have engaged in the sale of narcotics in the Couronneries sector in the preceding days”. The shooter is still wanted.
The mayor of Poitiers assures “her support to the family and friends of Anis”
In a press release, the mayor of Poitiers, Léonore Moncond'huy reacted to the announcement of Anis' death. “I assure Anis’ family and friends of all my support, on behalf of the Poitiers Municipal Council”declares the elected official, “the death of a young person, in such a tragic situation, must fuel our determination to fight against all forms of violence, particularly linked to drug trafficking, in all districts of Poitiers.”
