Relations are quite bad between the two brothers, especially since the Jeffrey Epstein scandal which affected Prince Andrew.

King Charles III is said to have reduced Andrew’s annual allowance, which would be one million pounds (1.19 million euros). Prince Andrew is criticized for his links to Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of sexual offenses. Since the revelations surrounding these scandals, relations between the two brothers have been very tense and Charles III has always wanted to keep his distance from him.

The British media reported this Saturday, November 2, that changes will soon take place in the affairs of the British royal family and in particular in the allowances allocated to its members. The BBC also reported in September that Andrew will have to pay maintenance and security costs at the Royal Lodge country house in Windsor if he wants to continue living there.

Prince Andrew’s relationship with his family is under strain due to his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. He was accused of sexual abuse by a victim of Jeffrey Epstein. He reached a settlement with her in 2022, although he has always denied the allegations.
