Recent winner of an event on the 3,000 meter course at Chantilly, Kathina managed to double the stakes on Sunday in Saint-Cloud, in the traditional Prix de l’Elevage (Quinté+). Associated with Olivier d’Andigné, the resident of Alain Couétil took off in the straight to win with authority despite the weight penalty, she who was top-weight (60 kilos) in this quinté. The regular Illuminates Precious is second by two and a half lengths, while Chelsea du Ninian completes the podium. Alben’s Diva et Zahyana ranked fourth and fifth. Note that the odds for the first five are between 10 and 17/1.
The numerical arrival of this Quinté+: 1 – 9 – 5 – 12 – 3.
