Urunani BBC won its fourth consecutive victory during the BAL 2025 Qualifiers. Again decisive this Sunday, Jean-Jacques Boissy and his teammates largely dominated the Malagasy GNBC (112-56) on the sidelines of the fourth and final day.

The team led by Mamadou Gueye “Pabi” confirmed its domination during this qualifying tournament for the next BAL which took place in Dar Es Salaam (Tanzania). After beating respectively JKT from Tanzania, the Seychellois from Beau Vallon Heat and Nairobi City Thunder from Kenya, Urunani again dominated the Malagasy from GNBC, which allows the Burundian team to achieve a full success with four victories in as many outings .

During these qualifications, it is important to note the impressive performances of the Senegalese leader Boissy Jean-Jacques who carried his team three times while being very influential in the game. He achieved remarkable performances against JKT (37 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists), against Nairobi City Thunder (28 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists) and against GNBC this Sunday (25 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists). These repeated positive results confirm Boissy’s talent in the VBL (Burundi championship), where he had already been appreciated by scoring 405 points in 21 matches. Urunani BBC will advance to the Elite 16 tournament to try to secure their ticket for the next BAL of the 2025 edition.
