Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacir has sharply criticized Israel’s use of technologies that he considers to be devoid of ethics and morality. According to him, this irrational use only leads to humanitarian disasters.

In an interview given to Anadolu Agency in Ankara on Tuesday, Minister Kacir addressed various current issues, including the need for Türkiye to strengthen control and supervision of cyber risks. He announced the imminence of new legislation on cybersecurity, specifying that this would be among Parliament’s top priorities. “A new authority will thus be put in place,” he said.

Kacir stressed the importance of developing technologies with an ethical and moral basis so that they benefit humanity. By criticizing Israel, he accused this country of committing a “live genocide” since October 7, 2023, under the passive gaze of the international community.

He adds that Türkiye continues to deploy diplomatic and humanitarian aid efforts to stop what he calls a “persecution” against Palestinians. “The Israeli attacks show that technology without a moral basis can lead to disaster for humanity,” he concluded.
