Municipal elections in the City of Geneva: the PLR ​​will leave alone

The PLR ​​will “leave alone”. Meeting in a general assembly on Wednesday evening, the City of Geneva section defined its strategy for the municipal elections in spring 2025. And the largest opposition party will not form an alliance, thus refusing the outstretched hand of the Center and the Green Liberals.

Furthermore, the PLR ​​will only present one candidate for the Administrative Council. At this point, the hon. Natacha Buffet-Desfayes and the current president of the Municipal Council Pierre de Boccard expressed their interest. Other “candidates” could still be announced in the coming days. The section meets again on May 30 to make its choice.

Finally, the PLR ​​Ville has chosen a new president in the person of municipal councilor Maxime Provini. He succeeds his colleague Kevin Schmid, who held the position for two years.
