Decisions are speeding up in the Jura in view of the by-election on November 24, which aims to replace PLR Minister Jacques Gerber in the Government. After creating some suspense, the cantonal UDC finally announced late Friday that it did not want to enter the race.
“Our committee met on Thursday evening. We asked ourselves if it was the right time, and we came to the conclusion that it was better to preserve our strength and focus our energy on the cantonal elections of 2025 rather than sending a candidate into the wall,” said the party’s president, Alain Koller.
