In a recent interview with Jaimunji, Testament singer Chuck Billy revealed details about the band's upcoming album, which will include a highly anticipated collaboration with Nightwish's Floor Jansen. Scheduled for 2025, this album will offer fans a powerful duet between Chuck and Floor, adding a unique and surprising touch to the Testament universe.
A new duo and a more modern approach
Chuck Billy describes this duo as a “really beautiful song”enriched by an orchestration of strings and acoustic guitars which create an immersive atmosphere. In this song, both artists interpret the lyrics as a dialogue, each responding to the other to enhance the emotional depth of the track. “It will be an epic song, with Floor and I singing the lyrics to each other,” he confides. “It’s very intense and full of meaning.”
With this new album, Testament explores new horizons while remaining faithful to its identity. The arrival of drummer Chris Dovas breathed new energy into the compositions, pushing guitarist Eric Peterson to innovate with faster and more technical riffs. This approach modernizes the band's sound, offering a renewed dynamic that promises to surprise fans.
