Current trainer of Jannik Sinner, Darren Cahill, who also coached Andre Agassi between 2002 and 2006, was passing this Friday at a press conference after the qualification of his foal in the Australian Open final.
Asked about the similarities between the world number 1 and the Las Vegas Kid, the Australian also wanted to differentiate them.
“They play in the same way, but they are completely different on other points. There are not two identical players. There are not two players who see a tennis match in the same way. We met Andre today by chance. He's a big fan of Jannik, he loves his way of playing. He always tells us about what he sees in Jannik's game, what he could improve. We had a deep conversation at lunchtime today. I abandoned this conversation because we had to play the half -final tonight, so we will have this conversation later. I think thatre is an incredible champion who won eight great chelems, a gold medal. Jannik is therefore far from that. He is on the right track, like other players as well.
