A little less than a week after the accident between two trams which left 68 injured in Strasbourg, the CTS teams carried out this Friday evening the extraction of the first damaged train.
Here are the images of the operation.
A tram to get the damaged train out of the tunnel
A tram entered the tunnel and coupled with the damaged oar to pull it out.
(Contrary to what the tweet indicates, Emmanuel Auneau is not president of the CTS but general director).
The first test was inconclusive
The first attempt was not conclusive. It must be said that the beast weighs its weight: no less than 54 tons.
The CTS teams therefore put sand on the rails to improve grip.
The damaged train arrived safely at the Cronenbourg depot
The second was the right one.

After being pulled, the damaged train was pushed to go in the other directiondirection the Cronenbourg depot.
The police manage traffic while the train moves
During this final trip, the police managed the traffic. Everything went well.
For now, we do not know the precise date of extraction of the second damaged train.
