It’s time for a big change in the jury The Voice for this fourteenth edition which promises to be exciting. After several years of good and loyal service, the leaders represented by Mika and Marc Lavoine have left their places to two artists adored by the French, Zaz and Patricia Kaas. While Vianney returns to his seat, accompanied by his sidekick Florent Pagny, who left to treat his cancer and who makes his triumphant return, gender parity will therefore be respected this year.

A new challenge at 58 for Patricia Kaas, who had decided to stop everything several years ago but who still accepted TF1’s proposal. “I hesitated. Production offered it to me three times before I accepted. If they had come for me a few years ago, I would have said no because I have difficulty judging and I would not have been ready to speak on the air”explains this Thursday, January 16 to Parisian the one who spoke about her absence for 8 years away from the spotlight a few days ago. As she does not hesitate to confide to our colleagues, the interpreter of My boyfriend suffered a burnout at one point in his career. “It lasted four months. It was an overflow of everything. I stopped everything because I was physically and mentally exhausted, and I couldn’t see what happened next”she explains.

Patricia Kaas installed opposite the Élysée

So, for several years, Patricia Kaas, still close to her ex-partner, an important man in the music industry, focused on herself and her well-being. “I saw a psychologist for four months but, very quickly, she told me that it was okay because my temperament always makes me see the glass half full. Then I spent my days doing nothing. I was really pissed off, but I liked it! I read a little, I listened to music”says the singer, before talking about her place of life: “I did some work in my apartment in , the same one for years opposite the Élysée. I needed to change my interior, I love the decor.”

Patricia Kaas, who has spoken about her desire to have children and her infertility, has already spoken in the past about this Parisian apartment that she has owned for years and clearly, it does not only have advantages. “It’s a mess. It’s horrible, we can’t do anything anymore, we can’t move, we’re parked behind barriers, I’ve been overprotected since they closed the rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré. Taxis do not pass. Well, I can still carry my suitcase but it’s still painful. And, from 8 p.m., when they close the barriers, even pedestrians no longer pass”she lamented to VSDbefore adding: “So when you invite someone for a drink, if you don’t leave the names at the bottom, no one comes through. And I’m sorry, but it’s your privacy. You don’t want everyone to know who’s coming and going from your house. Plus I’m a personality, people talk. Sometimes I talk to the police, I ask them: ‘But what could happen?’ It has become unlivable.”
