The leader of the Scottish group talks with relish about the sixth album of the Scottish group and looks back on his discovery of French culture thanks to his wife, Clara Luciani.

We left Franz Ferdinand with a best-of album which succinctly summed up the twenty years of existence of this Scottish group with an untouched love rating. Led by the very charismatic Alex Kapranos, 52 years old and the figure of a young man, the Glasgow band remembers us fondly with a new album, the excellent The Human Fear (Domino). « It’s not for me to say whether our record is good or not, but this one is successful, in my opinion. I’ve always had ambition for our albums, and I’m very happy to release this one today », explained the singer and guitarist in the Parisian premises of his record company last December. The freshness of the album gives it the air of a new departure, two years after having sold the hits on Hits to the Head.
