German technical death metal band Obscura continues to reveal the outlines of its next album A Sonication with the release ofEvenfallsecond extract from this highly anticipated opus. Scheduled for release on February 7, 2025 via Nuclear Blast Records, the album marks a new stage in the group’s musical evolution.
Evenfall : between technicality and melody
After the success of the first single Silver Linings, Evenfall highlights a perfect balance between Obscura’s legendary technicality and a refined melodic approach. The track, accompanied by a visually striking music video directed by Mirko Witzki (Arch Enemy, Powerwolf), can be viewed below.
Steffen Kummerer, leader of the group, shared: “With Evenfall, we present what will probably be the most anticipated track on our upcoming tours. Its dynamics, groove and rhythm blend together perfectly. This is one of the strong points of the album, which offers a rather cinematic soundscape in the universe of Obscura.”

European tour with Gorod and Skeletal Remains
To celebrate the release of the album, Obscura will go on a European tour in February 2025, accompanied by the French Gorod and the Americans Skeletal Remains. Several dates in France are planned. More details are available below:
