Un million de “Gentleman 2.0”

It must be said that when it was released in November 2017, the album of the man who was then referred to as “the brother of Gims” exploded in the charts thanks to the singles “Bob Marley”, “Reine” and “Jaloux”. A nickname that he quickly got rid of to make a name for himself on the French scene. Directly entering number one in France upon its release with 31,000 purchases, “Gentleman 2.0” quickly became the third best seller of 2018 with 443,000 copies sold. Over the years, its counter has continued to climb and, with 84,000 new sales recorded since the start of 2024, it has officially exceeded the symbolic mark of one million sales.

For comparison, “Gentleman 2.0” sold more in France this year than the latest albums by Kendji Girac, Coldplay, Ariana Grande or Benson Boone! We are now awaiting Dadju's new solo album, which will be the first since “Cullinan” in 2022. Note that in this wake, his second album “Poison ou antidote” also generated 85,000 sales in France in 2024.
