Claudette Dion recently gave an interview as part of the documentary Red line: Céline Dion, the iron ladywhich will be broadcast on Sunday December 22 in . The Quebecer was invited to talk about her sister, Céline Dion, and the significant moment when the latter confided to her her first symptoms of stiff person's disease, an illness which was not yet diagnosed at the time.

In an excerpt posted on TikTok, we hear Claudette reveal a poignant memory dating back several years. The day after a celebration, Céline told him she was in intense pain and showed that her foot was visibly twisted, preventing her from putting on a boot. Thinking that it was only a temporary problem, her sister, who is also her godmother, reassured her by saying that it was normal to have muscle cramps.

“She told me: 'Claudette, come help me.'' She couldn't put her boots on because her foot was twisted. She couldn't regain control. We said to ourselves it doesn't matter, we get up at night too. We have some sort of cramps in our calves because we danced all evening. We said to ourselves: it's not serious, it's a muscle, it's not vital…”

However, what she thought was an ordinary pain was in reality one of the very first symptoms of the illness that would turn the singer's life upside down. I’m Alive.
