Cara Delevingne becomes Elton John in the new Music video for the title “Step Into Christmas”

MUSIC – Cara Delevingne never thought she would take on this role. For Elton John’s latest music video, the British actress slips into the singer’s shoes. She performs a new version of Step Into Christmasa song previously released in 1973.

More than 50 years after the broadcast of the original, this new clip uses the same pattern as the 1973 video, except the fact that it is now the model who plays Elton John. She appears transformed thanks to colored glasses, a colorful jacket and a wig imitating the appearance of the pop star at the time.

For Cara Delevingne, playing the interpreter of Rocket Man was “a dream that I was not aware of until it came true”she declared to the BBC. “I wish I could pretend to be Elton every day”added the 32-year-old model.

“It’s very fun to spend time with her, we both have a self-deprecating sense of humor”explained the singer. He then found “the perfect opportunity” to collaborate with her by making her play her role in this reinterpretation of the hit Step Into Christmas.

“I hope that Elton can one day return the favor and agree to play me in my biopic which is not yet developed, written, presented or financed. Fingers crossed, quips her compatriot ironically. Cara Delevingne felt honored to have received this proposal from one of her idols. “To say his music had a profound effect on me is an understatement.”she specifies to conclude.
