G-DRAGON’s new title (BIGBANG) has been banned from broadcast by KBS.
Like every week, KBS reviews all the new titles that artists wish to be able to broadcast on the channel’s airwaves, tracks which are subject to an eligibility test before the Korean Commission for Communication Standards.
This week, it’s the title “HOME SWEET HOME” by GD feat. Taeyang and Daesung which was banned from broadcast on KBS.
“HOME SWEET HOME” was indeed refused by KBS’s selection criteria, the title having been determined to be unsuitable for broadcast due to “brand mentions in the lyrics. »
This therefore means that unless there is a change in the lyrics specifically for KBS, this song will not be broadcast on the channel’s various channels.
It remains to be seen whether the agency will censor the lyrics in question in a new version sent to KBS or whether the agency will simply ignore the situation by not offering this song for broadcast on the channel.
However, this only concerns KBS and no other broadcasters, since KBS is the only channel to establish this system.
