It is one of the musical events of the year. The 26th edition of the “NRJ Music Awards” now has a date and a location. Like every year, the awards ceremony organized by musical radio will be broadcast live on TF1 from the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes. Always presented by Nikos Aliagas, the evening will take place this year Friday November 1, 2024, announced the station and the private channel in a press release.
Two more years
The two French entertainment giants have also indicated that they have already reached an agreement for at least two additional editions. “TF1, NRJ and Cannes town hall are also pleased to announce the renewal of their partnership for two additional years and the organization in Cannes of the NRJ Music Awards 2025 and 2026.”, adds the press release. “For this new edition, the NRJ Music Awards will reinvent itself and offer spectators and viewers many surprises and new features for this major event,” he promises again.

The list of nominations by category will be made public next Monday September 23. It is then the votes of Internet users who will designate the winners until the day of the ceremony. Every year, major French and international stars climb the steps of the Palais des Festivals to attend the ceremony, also marked by stage performances. Unlike the Victoires de la Musique on France 2, or even the Flammes, this is the only awards evening whose prizes come solely from the public vote.
Last year, the 25th edition notably crowned Vitaa, Slimane, Louane, Maneskin, Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus, and even the Swedish singer and winner of Eurovision 2023, Loreen. On the evening of the broadcast, TF1 only ranked second in the audiences behind the return of “Astrid and Raphaelle” on France 2. The ceremony, broadcast for the second consecutive year on a Friday, was followed by 3.21 million people until 10:40 p.m. The second part retained 2.31 million faithful (21.7% 4+/38.2% FRDA-50).
