Currently, the rapper's video tapes, which reportedly contain evidence of his heinous crimes, are a source of great questioning. Remember, Sean Combs is accused of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation for the purpose of prostitution, and these videos would be an important piece of evidence in his trial. We now learn that they were given to a certain Courtney Burgess by Diddy's ex, Kim Porter, before his death.
According to Yahoo! News, this new witness claims to have received 11 USB keys which contained “at least 8 videos involving 8 celebrities”. Accompanied by his lawyer, he even confided to News Nation that the stars seen in these extracts seemed to be victimized by the incarcerated artist. Shortly after, Diddy and his legal team requested that those taking part in his trial not be able to speak to the media, stating that it reduced the rapper's chances of receiving “a fair trial.” .
Authorities have asked Burgess to provide any forms of recordings he may have, but their transfer to the court has not yet been confirmed. According to Economic Times, a source connected to the 8 stars in question would have affirmed that one of them, who remained anonymous, is terrified of the idea that his identity will be revealed by the unveiling of these videos. The latter “would bring back bad memories in the individual, who has the impression of having been a victim years ago and of being a victim again today”.
Regardless, none of the celebrities connected to Diddy's misdeeds, whether they were accomplices or victims, have been identified, which does not stop the public from speculating. After all, Diddy was known for his parties and several big names in the industry were seen there. However, Thea de Sousa, who worked with Jennifer Lopez on her film Maid in Manhattan, wanted to clear her and denounce the people who connect the singer to the crimes of her ex. As reported by Daily Mail, she writes on Threads:
“If you knew Jennifer Lopez, if you had worked with her like I did, or if you were close to people she considers family like I am, you would know that she had no idea about what Diddy was.”
She adds that the rapper's terrible actions should in no way be connected to J.Lo. The latter, who had already described her two-year relationship with Sean Combs as “tumultuous” and “emotionally trying”, nevertheless shared very few details about their connection over the years. It remains to be seen whether this much-talked-about lawsuit will provide more answers!
