Patrick Sébastien is currently being talked about for his book, The Carnival of the ambitious, published on October 31 by XO editions. In this work, the former host looks back on different stars he knew. Questioned by our colleagues from Télé-Leisure,
he returned to his memories shared with a certain Céline Dion whom he met in September 1984.
“This little one, she was cheerful, lively and today she suffered a lot, she is sick”, he says, referring to the stiff man syndrome that affects the singer.

The former presenter continues: “So yes, she was successful, she's very rich, she's a global icon, but the question I ask myself is: 'Which of the two was happier?'
I think maybe the 16 year old was happier. She had no money, but she already had René with her and I'm sure she misses him a lot.”

estimates the former host of Largest cabaret in the world.

Patrick Sébastien opens up about his first meeting with Céline Dion

In his work, Patrick Sébastien of this day in September 84.
He goes on tour to perform in particular in the Olympia hall. Céline Dion, accompanied by the man who would become her husband, René Angélil, was present.

Cyril Hanouna's friend remembers a “young girl in kitsch ruffled skirt”. And between them, a very simple dialogue will take place, particularly regarding the decorations of the scene: “So I don't care about the decor! You know, as long as I sing, it's Las Vegas everywhere.”
Patrick Sébastien then describes it as “a baby bird that straws with all its strength. With all its talent. With all its ambition.”

These cutting confidences about Bernadette Chirac

If he is benevolent with Céline Dion, Patrick Sébastien is much less so with Bernadette Chirac. Indeed, in his book, he paints a very uncomplimentary portrait of the former First Lady.

“She was always charming with me. Impeccable. This was not always the case with others, especially the small staff”he remembers. He then describes Jacques Chirac's wife as “brittle” et
authoritarian“.
