???? Master South Art:
This Sunday, November 3 at 6:45 p.m. on Arte, in partnership with France Musique, find the Paris Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Thomas Hengelbrock.
The year 2024 marks the centenary of the death of Gabriel Fauré, one of the greatest French composers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the master of French melody. For this occasion, the Paris Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of German conductor Thomas Hengelbrock – for whom this will be the first 'official' concert with the group, offers us an exceptional concert by performing his marvelous “Requiem” – a flagship work. It is, in a completely unique place: the Pantheon.

???? Saturday at the opera:
Judith Chaine presents the concert given on October 18, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris. On the program: André Chénier by Umberto Giordano.
“One of the great pages of the romantic Italian repertoire carried by the forces of the Lyon Opera, Daniele Rustioni and a shock trio. With Andrea Chénier, Giordano made a poet of the French Revolution, one of the mythical roles from the Italian operatic repertoire. Success was there from the evening of the premiere, soon followed by a triumph throughout Italy and even the entire world… With the exception of France where the work is being performed. deemed too “counter-revolutionary” on a very coherent libretto, Giordano composes a score of irresistible lyricism with all the ingredients for success: richness of sound palette, heroic pages, passionate feelings, humanist ideals… nevertheless requiring a top trio! flight to perform Chénier, Madeleine and Gérard This evening, a “shock trio” should do more than justice to this work that is still too rarely performed on French stages.” Source: Théâtre des Champs-Élysées
