Now is not the time. Announced for this Friday, the release of Liame Payne's posthumous song was finally postponed, said Tuesday the American artist Sam Pounds with whom the former member of One Direction collaborated. The American singer and songwriter announced the release of this title, “Do No Wrong”, on social networks, accompanied by a black and white illustration, representing an angel rising towards a broken heart.

“As much as we all love the song, it's not time yet,” he wrote on prayer,” added the artist. “We will all wait.”

A fall from a balcony

Liam Payne, former figure of the British boy band One Direction, was found dead on October 16 after falling from the balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires. Preliminary results of the autopsy established that he was going through “a sort of crisis due to substance abuse”, according to the Argentine prosecutor's office.

The pop star had spoken publicly about her struggles with substance abuse and her difficulty coping with fame from a young age. Before his death, Liam Payne collaborated on the song “Do No Wrong” with Sam Pounds.

A second album was in preparation

Liam Payne was part, with Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles, of the famous boy band One Direction, formed in 2010 and which enjoyed dazzling success. After the departure of Zayn Malik, the group went on hiatus in 2016 and Liam Payne, like his former companions, began a solo career.

Last year, he announced that he was working on his second album, the first single of which “Teardrops” was released in March.
