“I have a creation that is too intense, too true, too multiple, to be associated with only one song”

Coming in second place at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021 with her title Voilà, named “Female Revelation of the Year” at the Victoires de la Musique 2022, Barbara Pravi released a second album in September entitled La Pieva. Invited to the “Conversations” show, she confides that she is “very happy not to have won” the European competition, and affirms the plurality of her Music: “I have a creation that is too intense, too true, too multiple, not to only be associated with a song.

With the release of her new album, she also expresses her eagerness to go on tour again since the release of the first, entitled We don't lock up the birds : “I so loved being on stage with this physical, carnal connection with the audience, this generosity that there is in both directions”. If her current affairs mean that her life is “very intense, always in motion”, she expresses her gratitude for the success of her career: “I am aware of how lucky I am to do this job”. And to summarize his vision of music: “It is imperfect (…) but everything I do, I do it with so much heart and emotion that that's what I want people to remember, and That’s what’s important to me.”
