Is a return to Korn possible for David Silveria?

In a 2021 interview with Rocking With Jam Man, David Silveria was asked about the possibility of reinstating Korn for their 30th anniversary. He replied: “That would require us all to talk together. For the moment, nothing seems to be going in this direction, but you never know. You never know.” Silveria left Korn in 2006 for several reasons, including disagreements over how the group made decisions: “In the beginning, we were all equal members, and everything had to be voted on. But over time, that changed, and I no longer agreed with that way of working at all.”

Another factor that caused Silveria to leave the group was a serious accident that damaged her back: “I broke four bones in my lower back. I was in so much pain that I couldn’t do anything. It took several years before my back was rehabilitated.”

“I have no problem with the guys”: David Silveria ready to move on

Since his departure, Silveria has sometimes expressed negative feelings toward his former castmates, but he ultimately apologized in 2019 for his hurtful comments. “I was immature, hurt and angry. But I haven’t said anything negative in years and I have a lot of respect for these guys.”

Silveria also said he was open to the idea of repairing his relationship with Korn: “I have no problem with anyone. At one point, our communications got so bad that no one spoke to each other. I don’t even know how it happened.” Although he does not understand why relations with his former colleagues could not be rekindled, he remains willing to consider reconciliation.
