Almost three weeks ago already, Kendji Girac was seriously injured by a gunshot, in what he first explained was a domestic accident before admitting that it was a simulated suicide with the aim of ” scare” his companion Soraya.
For the first time since this tragedy, which sparked strong reactions denouncing the psychological manipulation behind suicide blackmail, the gypsy singer spoke on his Instagram account this Friday, May 10.
The artist took advantage of “this special day” which marks 10 years since his victory on the show The Voice to apologize to his fans. The 27-year-old French singer confides that he “long excused” with his family and his team before doing the same for his audience.
“I take care of myself, I rest”
“I thank you for the unfailing love that you have given me for 10 years now and that you have continued to give me since the tragedy,” he wrote, without providing the slightest detail on his physical condition since the night of Sunday April 21 to Monday April 22.
“I heal myself, I rest to come back even stronger thanks to you”, affirms Kendji Girac, before specifying that he now wishes to move forward and “leave this period of (his) life behind (him)”.
According to his companion, Soraya, who gave an interview to Parisian on May 5, the convalescence of the singer, seriously injured in the chest, promises to be long, but “the news is reassuring”. She and their daughter, Eva Alba, will be present alongside the artist during his recovery.
