INTERVIEW – The 28-year-old Messina left the adventure game produced by ALP for TF1 after 32 days in the Philippines. An unexpected elimination for the one who saw herself going all the way to the post test.

Since the first day of “Koh-Lanta, the immunity hunters” , Megane is one of those deserving candidates spared from the elimination votes. A complete adventurer both in camp life and in trials, this salesperson in a car dealership in Luxembourg – who lived for a year in New Zealand and two years in Australia – progressed in the solid Red team, the Matukad.

After reunification, the former swimmer saw her tribe shrink like nothing. After her two event victories in pairs with Jean (subsequently forced to retire due to a sprained right ankle), Mégane was seen as a threat to be eliminated by the ex-Yellows, the Kadasi . During the council meeting on the 32nd day, it was his first name that came out four times from the urn counted by Denis Brogniart.

Day 32 Council Votes:
Megane : 4 votes (double vote of Léa, Amri and Pauline)
Meissa : 2 votes (immunity test penalty, David)
Amri : 2 voices (Julie and Mégane)
Julie : 1 vote (Meïssa)

Winner of the immunity test, Léa was protected. Just like Amri whose votes against him were canceled by his immunity necklace.

LE FIGARO. – What state of mind were you in before going to this council?
Megan. – I was calm, I didn’t feel in danger at all, even without having immunity. We were hoping that Amri would protect someone other than himself with his collar and three votes were going to go against him. Three other votes were planned against Meïssa for security reasons. But Léa did not put her two votes against Amri and Meïssa as she told us…

Why didn’t the ex-Reds consolidate their votes against Meïssa instead of dispersing?
I didn’t want to vote against him, I didn’t want to betray him. He made his way on his own by rallying around Amri who was an ex-Jaune but he always took me under his wing to protect me. Jean’s medical abandonment before the immunity test weakened us. If he had still been there, I wouldn’t have gone out.

How do you explain this trust that Meïssa only placed in you among the Matukads?
From the start of the adventure, we immediately got along very well. We have strengthened this bond of trust over the days. Meïssa has this ability to analyze each person and he was able to understand me as I really am. He told me about his alliance with Amri and his desire to protect me until the end.

“It was difficult but I could have stayed like that for another month”

Mégane, candidate for “Koh-Lanta, the immunity hunters”

How did you experience this elimination?
It was a shock, it took me a while to realize. When I first saw my name come out, I thought of an unimportant vote, by default. By the second, I started to find it weird, and by the third, I realized that it was over for me. I was fooled and I thought about this advice for a long time.

Looking at you in the episodes of “Koh-Lanta”, you do not seem to have suffered from the playing conditions in the Philippines…
That’s right ! I was so happy to realize my dream of participating in the show and meeting Denis Brogniart that I didn’t suffer the adventure at all. The other candidates eventually realized this and saw that I was a real opponent for the final victory. I loved. It was difficult but I could have stayed like that for another month.

During a call to your boyfriend after a comfort test, you expressed this lack of those close to you…
Yes, it was difficult to be away from Nicolas, my companion. I thought about him, wondering what he was doing and if it wasn’t too long for him to be alone. And, today, I feel a lack of adventure and escape. We would like to share a great journey together.

After two weeks, you found yourself at the center of a dispute between Léa and Émilie . Do you regret having contributed to the elimination of the latter?
No because at the time I decided to vote against Émilie, it was what I considered to be the best solution. But, even today, after speaking with both of them, I still don’t know where the truth lies. A year after the shooting, I don’t know who told the truth and who lied because everyone remains in their positions.

How did you decide to participate in “Koh-Lanta”?
On a whim, I ended up saying why not me! Every time I watched the show on TV, I was captivated. It was the third time I applied for the casting and I ended up getting accepted.
