Belgium, which was sixth two months ago, is now in twelfth position in the bookmakers’ rankings.

In mid-March, two months before Eurovision 2024, we knew all the songs that were going to represent their country in the famous competition, which is held in Malmö, Sweden.
At the time, Ciné-Télé-Revue offered the ranking of bookmakers. And since then, it has evolved very much, especially since the first rehearsals, which allowed us to discover the scenography, the choreographies, and the live performances.
Eurovision 2024: Croatia, Ukraine and Italy on the podium, Belgium well placed, disappointment for France… what are the bookmakers saying?
Here are everyone’s chances, as of May 7, the day of the first semi-final.
1. Croatia (33%)
Baby Lasagna was already first with 17% in March, and jumped, doubling its chances of winning.
2. Switzerland (16%)
Switzerland goes from 9% to 16%. Nemo and “The Code” are also rising. Enough to overtake Croatia?
3. Italy (11%)
The country gains one point compared to March. Angelina Mango, who won the famous Sanremo festival, will perform her song “La Noia”. Italy should be well ranked, and why not champion?
What about Belgium and France?
Ukraine was second in March, it is now fourth with an 8% chance of winning. Followed by Ireland (6%) and the Netherlands (5%). In seventh position, we find Slimane with 4%. France gained three places compared to March.
Israel and Greece follow, with a 2% chance. Britain is 10thLithuania 11th…and Belgium only arrives in 12th position, with a 1% chance of winning. Mustii, who was nevertheless 6th in March with 5%, has fallen sharply over the weeks and especially since the first rehearsals. Was it below expectations? Did the others create a surprise? Difficult to explain the reasons for this fall. Mustii will defend his place in the second semi-final, this Thursday, May 9.
Remember that this is only the bookmakers’ ranking and that viewers and national juries can express very different votes from those of the bookmakers. The final will take place this Saturday, May 11. A competition to follow on the front page.
