Kendji Girac’s partner denies “suicide blackmail” by the singer

The companion of singer Kendji Girac, who was shot in April, assured Sunday that he had “never blackmailed her into committing suicide”, thus contradicting in an interview with Le Parisien the comments made by the Mont-de-Marsan prosecutor .

The winner of the 2014 edition of the show “The Voice” was hospitalized near Bordeaux after a serious gunshot wound to the chest in Biscarosse (Landes).

During a press conference a few days later, the Mont-de-Marsan prosecutor, Olivier Janson, explained that the artist had wanted to “simulate a suicide” to scare his partner who was threatening to leave him after a dispute.

“Deep anger”: Kendji Girac’s partner makes a heavy decision for her and her daughter

“Kendji never blackmailed me into committing suicide, let me be clear. It never existed. I never suffered the slightest violence whatsoever from him. I am categorical,” said Soraya Miranda told the newspaper.

The singer’s entourage also said they “regretted” that elements of his private life were disclosed during this press conference. An opinion shared on Sunday by Ms. Miranda: “I was very surprised that so many details of our history were revealed without our wishing them to be. For me, it was not necessary.”
