“That’s one of the names on my list”; Nita Strauss wants to work with Alex Terrible

Acclaimed guitarist Nita Strauss, known for her work with Alice Cooper and Demi Lovato, recently shared her desire to collaborate with Alex Terrible, the iconic singer of the band Slaughter To Prevail, for her next solo album. This revelation was made during her visit to the Guitar Summit in Mannheim, Germany, on September 28, where she gave an interview to Rock Antenne.

A project in preparation

Strauss, whose solo career continues to flourish, is currently in the midst of writing his third album. During her interview, she revealed that she already had a list of artists she dreamed of collaborating with. “For my second album, The Call Of The Void, I managed to tick a few names off my wish list, but there are still many left”she explained.

One of these dream collaborations could well come to fruition with Alex Terrible, the singer of Slaughter to Prevail, renowned for his powerful vocal performances and impressive growls. Nita Strauss confided that this project had already been mentioned: “He’s one of the names on my list. And we’re on the same label, Sumerian Records, so it’s easier.”

An ambitious collaboration

Although the idea of working with Alex Terrible seems to revolve around a typically Death Metal/Deathcore sound, Strauss has hinted that she might explore more unexpected terrain with him. “What people don’t realize is that he can actually sing, not just growl. I want to push it in a different direction, like I did with Arch Enemy’s Alissa White-Gluz on my last album. Maybe I could do the same with Alex, or we’ll write something really heavy. We’ll see !”

She also highlighted that she is a big admirer of Terrible, not only for his musical talent, but also for his commitment on social networks, especially when it comes to finding homes for abandoned dogs.
