Outlander: Blood of My Blood will tell the love stories of Jamie and Claire’s parents respectively. The spin-off goes back in time and will reveal to fans how Jamie’s parents fell in love in Scotland in the 1700s, and how Claire’s parents met again in the 1900s. “There will be familiar faces and names that Outlander fans will know and recognize,” had already revealed Ronald D. Sally Messham joins Blood of My Blood as Mrs. Fitz, a character from season 1 ofOutlander appreciated by fans. She begins her journey in the prequel as Jamie’s mother’s maid at Castle Leoch and Murtagh’s aunt. Terence Rae will play on his side ArchBug, a role given to Hugh Ross in the original series. Sadhbh Malin will play Jocasta Cameron, Jamie’s aunt, played in Outlander by the talented Maria Doyle Kennedy. Here she is Ellen’s younger sister, portrayed as “the feisty youngest child of the MacKenzie clan“. Alisa Davidson will play Janet MacKenzie, the sister of Jocasta, Ellen, Dougal and Colum, who never appeared in Outlander. Production on the eighth and final season of the original series is currently taking place in Scotland. If season 8 ofOutlander marks the end of Claire and Jamie’s adventures, Sam Heughan promised fans that “if they liked Outlander, they will love Blood of My Blood”. “I’m really excited about this show. There’s so much to look forward to. I can’t give anything away, but I’m going to be the biggest fan” he added during his appearance at The Land Con 6 in April 2024.
