Min Hee Jin Blames TWS And RIIZE In The Conflict Between HYBE And ADOR

In the new thriving world of K-pop and business, HYBE is emerging as a leading multinational music entertainment company. However, the reality might be less beautiful than it seems. Recently, HYBE and one of its subsidiaries, ADOR (a NewJeans agency), found themselves in a conflict zone regarding management rights, plagiarism, and many other issues.

As the power battle between HYBE and ADOR continues, CEO Min Hee Jin made some interesting comments. According to reports, not only ILLIT, but also other recently debuted K-pop groups, copied NewJeans after her.

On April 23, Korean media outlet Yonhap News published a heated expose on the power struggle between ADOR and HYBE. They reported that during a recent internal interview at HYBE, Min Hee Jin also allegedly accused other groups of copying NewJeans. CEO Min Hee Jin allegedly claimed that HYBE’s TWS and SM Entertainment’s RIIZE both copied NewJeans.

Separately, during an interview with Ilgan Sports, CEO Min Hee Jin denied all allegations by HYBE that she is trying to seize the management rights and remove ADOR from HYBE. The CEO of ADOR added that she had never met with investors to take control of HYBE, contrary to what the latter claims. She questioned the plausibility of this claim, asking how she could achieve this with only 18% of the shares. Min Hee Jin said that ADOR could not leave HYBE without their consent and it was difficult to understand why they claimed otherwise.

In her interview with Ilgan Sports, ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin also addressed fans’ concerns regarding the future of NewJeans, fearing that it could end up like the FIFTY FIFTY incident. She said that if money had been her goal, she would never have raised the issue of plagiarism with HYBE. Min Hee Jin claimed that HYBE was just trying to portray her as someone looking to steal management rights.

However, its reputation is well established, the FIFTY FIFTY incident being an example. She would never do something so stupid. In summary, CEO Min Hee Jin said that she would never let something like the FIFTY FIFTY incident happen to NewJeans, which she considered a stupid incident. Meanwhile, the dispute began when HYBE found alleged evidence against CEO Min Hee Jin and other ADOR executives seeking to appropriate management rights.
