Min Hee Jin Defends Herself Against HYBE In Damning New Interview, Media Responds With “Evidence”

A damning interview with ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin was published on April 23 by Korean media outlet Ilgan Sports. This is the CEO’s most recent interview published since her differences with HYBE became public. During her interview, Min made it clear that she never tried to take ownership of HYBE’s stake in ADOR and denied allegations that she tried to seek investment overseas.

“I have never met investors to seize the management rights of HYBE (in ADOR). Likewise, I have never tried to take executive rights as HYBE claims. How could I do it with my 18% capital (in ADOR)? It is impossible for me to seize the management rights since HYBE holds 80% of the capital. Furthermore, ADOR cannot leave HYBE without its consent. It is difficult to understand the reasons why HYBE evokes the impossible. » said Min Hee Jin

Min Hee Jin then pointed out that the reason HYBE requested her resignation was only because she raised internal company issues, saying:

“This is because I raised internal issues a month ago. After addressing several issues resulting from ILLIT’s plagiarism of NewJeans, I suddenly received notification that HYBE was attempting to terminate my employment. »

For her part, Min Hee Jin expressed her dissatisfaction with the timing chosen by HYBE to launch its audit and to make them talk about them in the media. The CEO continued to dismiss all of HYBE’s claims and questioned the label’s intentions.

“The fact of having acted in this way at a very important moment for NewJeans surprises me on the part of HYBE. It only took four days for all of this to happen after I complained. I also wonder if it has ever happened that a company published articles during an audit before it had even produced results. Why was it necessary to publish these fake articles that had nothing to do with what I was complaining about? she added.

Following Min’s statements, Segye Ilbo published the evidence that HYBE was able to obtain through its audit, however, netizens are even more perplexed.

The media outlet shared that a document was HYBE’s evidence against Min Hee Jin. The document, a typed Word document, was allegedly typed by Min Hee Jin herself. In the alleged document, few read

  • 5. Objectives
    A. Finally, leave HYBE.
    b. Make sure no one from HYBE can disturb us (total autonomy).

The document along with Min Hee-Jin’s explanations attracted the attention of netizens who said:

  • “I mean, I think it’s something that can be written in a document as long as it’s not official. It seems HYBE has already found evidence leading them to believe she was planning to betray them.
  • Eh ? Are you saying she actually wrote that in a document? It’s hard to believe. I’ll have to wait and see if this is media manipulation.
  • “I can’t believe people think this evidence is for real. »
  • I think it’s media manipulation. HYBE is really good at this kind of manipulation, no article covers the real problem.
  • Don’t you think HYBE is trying to kick her out because she was complaining about ILLIT copying NewJeans?
  • After hearing Min Hee Jin’s point of view, I now understand what’s going on. I found it odd that she was trying to take management rights with only 20% of the company’s capital.
  • We’ll see who’s manipulating the media when the evidence surfaces, so it’s funny to see people taking sides in the comments. »
  • Would a company try to fire its CEO without evidence?
  • I understand what’s going on now that I’ve heard Min Hee Jin’s point of view. I am now fully aware that HYBE was never a fan of Min Hee Jin.

What do you think ?
