When he arrived in Lens a year and a half ago, Elye Wahi indicated that he wanted to model his predecessor Loïs Openda, author of an XXL season before signing for Leipzig. He certainly didn't think any less yesterday when he signed with Frankfurt. When visiting the German club's facilities, the 21-year-old striker probably couldn't avoid the old relics and souvenir photos of the number 9s who excelled in Frankfurt before him. At the microphone of BILDthe German sporting director, Timmo Hardung, also revealed his plans with regard to the former Marseillais, recalling Frankfurt's success with the young players: “we have clear principles and concrete ideas with Elye. Now, the coach and the staff must also give him confidence so that he can shine. We have great experience with young players, and especially French players. Elye has a great desire to succeed here, he is very motivated and we are convinced that he will do good for our team”he indicated.
