The streaming platform hopes to move you again, this time with the film Unstoppable (Unstoppable in English). This new release available on Prime Video, produced by the production company of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, features Jharrel Jerome in the shoes of wrestler Anthony Robles, and Jennifer Lopez in that of Judy, his mother. If we were afraid – upon initially seeing such a title for this feature film with Jennifer Lopez in the cast – that it was a film where the actress would be a superhero who breaks the house, Unstoppable constitutes a pleasant surprise. The true story of Anthony Robles is extremely powerful and inspiring. This young boy was born with a disability but he never let it get him down and overcame all the obstacles placed in front of him. If this sports film is a little predictable, it remains very moving. The mental and physical strength of this young man takes us to the guts and offers a great lesson. One of the standout scenes is when we see him reaching the top of an extreme level hike to prove that he is fully capable of doing the same things as the other students who want to join the wrestling team. Surpassing oneself, perseverance, but also team spirit and solidarity are well treated and highlighted in Unstoppable. And even if you're not a wrestling fan, you get into the game and watch the matches with as much intensity as if you were.

Alongside Anthony Robles' sporting failures and successes, the film also shows the young man's family life. The latter grew up in a family that didn't have a lot of money and where his stepfather Rick Robles (Bobby Cannavale) quickly showed his violent side. Very close to his brothers and sisters, as well as his mother, Anthony can count on their unfailing support. It is touching to see them so united, proud and loving towards each other. What if Jennifer Lopez, who filed for divorce from Ben Affleck, hadn't convinced us in her film Atlas on Netflix, she offers a very commendable performance here. The actress balances the moments of emotion, between those with her son and those where she fights for her family so that they do not lose their home. Don Cheadle, who played Anthony's college wrestling coach, is also perfect in this role. As for Jharrel Jerome, he continues to surprise us and attract our attention. Having started his career with the film Moonlightthen continuing in particular in the series Mr. Mercedes or again In their eyesthe actor makes the right choices and always offers perfect performances. With Unstoppablewe are obviously in pathos but the story of Anthony Robles deserves to be seen and known in order to inspire as many people as possible!
