DAKAR- Samba Diallo should no longer wear the Senegal jersey. The 22-year-old winger who made the heyday of Senegal’s U17 and U20 selections will follow in the footsteps of Aliou Badara Baldé. The African U20 champion has, in fact, said yes to Guinea.

« He has been courted by Guinea for months. It was Kaba Diawara who contacted him personally at the time at the same time as Aliou Badara Baldé. But he preferred to wait for the call from Aliou Cissé because he had trained with the Cubs. Unfortunately in March when Cissé cast a wide net by calling several young people without contacting him, he began to think about a new challenge. When Guinea returned, he agreed. He is now available to the Guinea selection », Explains an advisor of the Hapoel Jerusalem player to Dsports.

Trained at the Darou Salam academy, Samba Diallo was considered by several observers as the future Sadio Mané. A right-handed winger who plays on the left side, he has the same look as the former Liverpool player he considers his idol. Diallo was the captain of the U17 generation which played in the World Cup in Brazil in 2019. In this team there was Pape Matar Sarr (Tottenham), Michael Ngor Faye () and Aliou Badara Baldé.

The latter was the first to take the plunge, leaving the tunic of the Lions for that of Syli. Recruited in 2021 by Dynamo kyiv (Ukraine) with whom he is still under contract until December 2026, Samba Diallo is currently on loan to Hapoel Jerusalem, an Israeli first division club. He took part in 10 matches for 2 goals this season.
