The facts occur after the attack on a bus driver in Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis). A complaint has been filed.
A driver of an SNCF train on line R was violently attacked at Gare de Lyon, in Paris. According to Le Parisien, the events took place on Sunday December 29 as his vehicle arrived from Montereau (Seine-et-Marne). While she was checking that no passengers were on board, she was allegedly punched in the face.
The man fled, then the victim reported his attack to the regional police station in Paris. The individual was quickly found thanks to the description of the driver, who was hospitalized at Saint-Antoine hospital.
The suspect was arrested within the Gare de Lyon itself. Placed in police custody, he was then admitted to the psychiatric infirmary of the police headquarters, the public prosecutor told Le Parisien. The victim filed a complaint.
A “gassed” bus driver
Following this attack, the Unsa traction union section of Paris Sud Est expressed its indignation.
“Some people have nothing else to do on a Sunday morning than punch a single woman,” it is written on X.
An investigation into “violence against an agent of a public passenger transport network operator resulting in an ITT of less than 8 days in a means of collective transport” has been opened, the prosecution told our colleagues.
This attack occurs while a bus driver of line 22 was allegedly “gassed with tear gas” in Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis), according to Ahmed Berrahal, machinist and elected representative of the CGT. The facts allegedly took place at the Delpêche ruling.
On X, the president of the Ile-de-France region Valérie Pecresse gave her support to the two women. “These acts of violence against public transport agents are unacceptable and their perpetrators must be subject to severe sanctions,” she wrote on the social network.
