Four years ago, Pierre Niney and his partner, Natasha Andrews, bought a country house in Yvelines (west of Paris). This life outside the capital suits the 35-year-old actor perfectly. “I couldn’t live in the city anymore. I found a peace, a relationship with space that seems more human, more natural, for me at least,” he confided in the columns of “Gala”, this December 26, 2024.
In the countryside, the Frenchman, whose film “The Count of Monte Cristo” was a great success, and his family live surrounded by animals. They have two dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits and turtles, as well as three donkeys. Pierre Niney does not hesitate to share his daily life with them on social networks.
“Animals exercise children’s empathy (editor’s note: he has two daughters aged 7 and 5), give them a sense of responsibility, a notion of the value of life and of death too. Finally, animals work on the relationship to the present moment for adults. Living in this setting totally fulfills me and inspires me a lot,” says the actor.
