Infinity War, this Marvel film that has become legendary

Taika Waititi and James Gunn participated

We know that the two directors have been important figures in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) by directing feature films Thor and Guardians of the Galaxy. Thus, the duo remained in contact with production to ensure consistency, particularly in terms of dialogue. Enough to maintain a touch of humor which makes all the difference.

The actors didn't know the story when filming

Keen to avoid any risk of spoilers, Marvel always exercises extreme caution. This even goes for MCU stars who were unaware of major plot twists when they were filming their scenes.

Don Cheadle, who plays War Machine, for example explained that he appreciates this aspect and likes not knowing anything about the plot to better discover the surprises of the scenario on the set, like any other fan.

Robert Downey Jr. rewrote some scenes

The actor has made a habit of rewriting some of his character's lines. Attached to the latter, it was important to him to find formulas that hit the mark. According to Joe Russo, the atmosphere on set was one “highly collaborative think festival”.

Ultimately this collaboration and the open-mindedness of the filmmakers and screenwriters worked very well. Avengers : Infinity War is undoubtedly one of the most popular films produced by Marvel.

The film's shocking ending was long planned

Kevin Feige, the boss of the Marvel studio, affirmed that the end of the film where a large part of superheroes (and humanity) is wiped off the map was thought of several years before:
